  • J. Scott Poindexter, age 56, passed away January 19, 2019 in Hot Springs, AR. Scott was born October 4, 1962 to Joe and Lois Poindexter in Oklahoma City, OK. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Poindexter.

    He is survived by his mother, Lois Poindexter; his wife of 27 years, Tina Poindexter; sisters Kelley Poindexter-Moore, and Sherry Fronterhouse; children Joshua Poindexter, Stephanie Boulware, and Jacob Walker; and 6 grandchildren.

    Scott loved hunting, fishing, golf, and was an avid reader. He attended Coronado Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at Coronada Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Stanley officiating.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home of Hot Springs Village, AR.

    My condolences to the family, I remember Scott as a classmate. Always kind, and always friendly. He will be missed by so many. Prayers for comfort

    Very sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort from the words at Psalms 147:3 that says; "He is healing the broken hearted ones and is binding up their painful spots." God as the hearer of prayer will comfort you in the days ahead as you remember Mr. Poindexter.     So sorry to hear about Scott. I still remember him and Kelly and Sherri at the lake with Uncle Ross and Aunt Lois We were pretty young back then but we always had a good time
